Carmela graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University and received her Certified Public Accounting License in 2007. Since 2015, Carmela has been with US Tax Services AG. Before coming to Switzerland, Carmela worked for a large public accounting firm in the US for 10 years, focusing on financial industry tax clients as well as family businesses and multi-state or cross-border compliance. She has expertise in both personal and corporate taxation.

Carmela is a native German speaker and fluent in English.
